Bike Museum

Located in an old factory building, the Bike Museum follows the evolution of the bicycle from its birth to the present day.

On the banks of the Canal du Loing, in the buildings of the old Prugnat bike parts factory, the Bike Museum reveals the fascinating story of the "little queen" since its invention in the nineteenth century all the way to our times through a vast collection of old and new bikes and accessories.

On the menu – discoveries such as the dandy horse, a wooden vehicle, the Penny-farthing, a famous bicycle that appeared in the 1870s and recognisable for its large front wheel and small rear wheel, and the Michaudine, with an early pedal system.

In the exhibition space, the public will also find video presentations, documents and technical, artistic and historical information (unique to France), as well as permanent exhibits on the history of the Tour de France and the Peugeot saga.
