Paris from the skyWhy not discover Paris from a different perspective? From the 4th floor of the Eiffel Tower, the top of the Sacré-Cœur or the Arc de Triomphe, the capital always appears different. Follow the guide (provided you’re not afraid of heights!)
Let’s start with the Eiffel Tower for this ‘Paris seen from the sky’ guide! Emblematic of the French capital, the ‘iron lady,’ built for the Universal Exhibition of 1889, is a must-see in Paris. Both young and older visitors love reaching the top (279.11m at the 4th floor) and enjoying the lovely feeling of dominating Paris. On foot or by lift, by day or by night, the experience is unique and magical.
Still on the left bank, the Parc André Citroën, in the 15th district, also offers you the opportunity to rise above the capital on board the Ballon de Paris, the largest tethered balloon in the world, which takes the boldest visitors (30 passengers per trip) to 150m altitude. Not far away, the Tour Montparnasse, the only skyscraper built in the centre of the city, offers remarkable panoramas of the most beautiful monuments of the capital. At its top (210m), the view is simply amazing!
On the right bank, three monuments are known for their unforgettable views of the City of Light. The Arc de Triomphe at the top of the Champs-Elysées, is the perfect place to admire the most beautiful avenue in the world. In the 18th district, the , at the top of Montmartre, dominates Paris. From its dome, the 360° view over the capital is breath-taking. On the Ile de la Cité, the towers of Notre-Dame de Paris, overlooking the Seine and its bridges, offer visitors one of the most beautiful panoramas in Paris.
