To get around the centre Paris quickly, access the different main railway stations or explore Ile-de-France, the RER offers you a multitude of possibilities.


The regional express train network of Île-de-France (RER) consists of 5 lines and serves a total 257 stations of which 33 are in Paris.

The RER B crosses Paris from the north-east to the south-west. It links Aéroport Charles-de-Gaulle 2 TGV and Mitry-Claye in the north-east, to Robinson and Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse in the south, passing through the centre of Paris (7 stops in Paris: Gare du Nord, Châtelet les Halles, Saint-Michel, Luxembourg, Port Royal, and Denfert-Rochereau and Cité Universitaire)

Duration of journey between Paris and CDG airport:
From Gare du Nord around 25 minutes
From Châtelet-Les-Halles around 28 minutes
From Denfert-Rochereau around 45 minutes
Frequency: 10 to 15 min Mon-Fri.

Duration of journey between Paris and Orly via Orly Val (8 minutes to reach airport):
From Gare du Nord: around 30 minutes to Antony-Orly Val
From Châtelet-Les-Halles: around 25 minutes to Antony-Orly Val
From Denfert – Rochereau: around 15 minutes to Antony-Orly Val

Gare du Nord – Saint-Michel Notre-Dame: 5 minutes
Châtelet-Les-Halles - Stade de France: 8 minutes
Châtelet – Parc de Sceaux: 20 minutes
Gare du Nord – Parc des expositions: 22 minutes

The RER C links, in the west: Pontoise, Versailles-Château and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines on one hand, and to the south: Massy - Palaiseau, Dourdan and Saint-Martin-d'Étampes, then Versailles-Chantiers by an almost circular route, in passing through the centre of Paris. It is the line with the most stations in Paris, from Bibliothèque François Mitterrand to Porte Maillot passing from Saint-Michel Notre Dame, the Invalides and Champs de Mars-Tour Eiffel.
Frequency: between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on time of day.

Saint-Michel – Invalides: 6 minutes
Bibliothèque – Saint-Michel Notre Dame: 8 minutes
Paris Austerlitz – Champs de Mars Tour Eiffel: 15 minutes
Musée d’Orsay – Château de Versailles: 35 minutes
Paris Austerlitz – Domaine départemental de Chamarande: 45 minutes
