BNP Paribas Masters
The epilogue of the 2016 tennis season opens with the Paris Masters 1000, which will take place at the AccorHotels Arena.
After a year of construction work in 2014, the Palais Omnisports of Paris-Bercy has been renovated and renamed AccorHotels Arena. The Parisian hall will host the Paris Masters 1000, the last major tournament of the season before the ATP World Tour Finals, traditionally held in London. Organized by the French Tennis Federation (FFT) and directed by Guy Forget, this competition has been part of the ATP Masters 1000 since 1990, the nine most important tournaments in the men's tour after the four Grand Slams (Australian Open, Roland Garros , Wimbledon, and US Open).
Last year, the tournament was won by world number one, Novak Djokovic. The Serb lifted the trophy for the fourth time in his career after beatingthe Scotsman,Andy Murray in straight sets. He is now the record holder as he tops German Boris Becker and Russian Marat Safin who have triumphed three times each on the hard surface of Bercy.
