Direct Train to Auvers-sur-Oise
Climb aboard the Paris–Auvers-sur-Oise train and follow in the footsteps of Impressionist painters such as Van Gogh 35 minutes from Paris.
Going from the Paris-Nord train station to Auvers-sur-Oise, a direct train will take you to a town renowned for having inspired famous Impressionist painters. Alighting at Auvers-sur-Oise, you will be able to follow in the footsteps of Cézanne, Pissarro and Van Gogh.
During this day out, you can discover Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption and the Town Hall that Van Gogh painted in the summer of 1890 before ending his own life, but also the Auberge Ravoux, where he stayed at the time and the cemetery where he is buried. A statue of Van Gogh, made by the sculptor Zadkine, was also erected in the park that bears his name.
At 61 rue Daubigny, you can see the home and studio of Charles-François Daubigny, whose interior was entirely decorated by the painter. Do not miss the house of Dr. Gachet who welcomed Van Gogh, and the Maison du pendu made famous by Cézanne. Enjoy your visit!
