It was in 1730 that Nicolas Stohrer, having come from Poland with the wife of Louis XV, Marie Leszczynska, opened his pastry store in Paris. 280 years later, the house's tradition of excellence remains, with a few iconic products such as Baba au Rhum (like the king ate), Criollo in bitter chocolate, the old-style Religieuse, or Puits d'Amour (a puff pastry with cream).
