Paule Ka was founded by Lille-born Serge Cajfinger, who spent his youth in Brazil where he discovered fashion design. Having returned to France, he became a salesman for Yves Saint Laurent and then opened a shop in Lille. The shop, which he named "Paule Ka", sold creations by promising young designers. Serge Cajfinger launched his first collection in 1987 and since then he has followed the same principles stemming from a single belief -- simplicity, elegance, modernity and discreet luxury. The brand's distinctive features are black and white and geometrical shapes. Paule Ka's clothes are always impeccably cut from flowing material which falls perfectly. Most recently the brand has launched a range of bags which can be found in the brand's historic shop on the Rue Saint-Honoré or in Paule Ka's three other Parisian stores.
